Big and small magical moments

bride and groom walking by an old antique white car

"Annie is the best! We hired Annie for our wedding, welcome event and brunch. She includes an engagement photo shoot as well. She is professional, responsive, and kind. Most of all, her work is spectacular. We've received so many compliments on our photos.

Her work is amazing and on top of that her turnaround time is very fast. She gave us printed photos the NIGHT of our wedding before she left and on Monday (wedding was Saturday) she gave us a preview of probably one hundred photos. We had a bilingual wedding and Annie was able to work with guests in both French and English. She also makes is really easy to access her photos with an online platform -- really easy to do social media posts."

THE wedding day

You'll see, everything happens very quickly on the wedding day. Preparation is the key to a stress-free and enjoyable day.

Surprises!

Plan some surprises throughout the day. A handwritten letter for your future husband or wife. Little gifts for your best man or maid of honor. Let me know about these surprises in advance so I can capture their reactions on the spot.

Family formals photos

Official family photos are important for preserving a historical record of your wedding. They should be taken with care, but at a fairly brisk pace so that everyone feels at ease.

Time Management hint

It’s essential to designate a family member or friend to be in charge of gathering the people we’ll need for the photos. This will likely take place in the minutes following the ceremony. Making a list is important so that no one is left out. Your list should include: various combinations of immediate family members, with and without spouses, friends, and/or coworkers. Keep in mind that each photo takes an average of 3 minutes to complete.

In case of rain...

If it rains on your wedding day, most of the photos can be taken inside your reception venue or in your hotel room. I always suggest that the bride and groom step outside for a few minutes, umbrellas in hand, to capture the atmosphere of the rain—it’s magical!

Getting ready

I always suggest that couples choose a pretty, well-lit, and spacious enough location for getting ready—especially for the bride. Many opt to rent a hotel room. Ask your bridesmaids to make sure the room is tidy by the time I arrive. You’ll then be able to shine in a spotless setting. Gather your accessories: dress, veil, shoes, jewelry, wedding bands... I also suggest taking advantage of the moment to photograph your stationery: invitations, save-the-dates, etc. We plan for between 1 and 1.5 hours for the bride’s preparations. When I arrive, the bride will have her hair and makeup done but will not yet be in her dress. I’ll be able to capture any touch-ups to her hair and makeup. I’ll photograph candid moments and the atmosphere of the preparations. I’ll make sure to guide you through the upcoming steps and, if you’d like, I’ll handle the schedule and time management.

Préparations de la mariée party

The preparations are always full of excitement and anticipation. Be sure to plan a “first look” with them and with your dad. That moment is simply magical. -Annie

When art meets perfect craftsmanship

The first look

Have you thought about a first look? It’s a magical moment just for the two of you. Not only will you get to enjoy the most beautiful light—depending on the time of year—but you’ll also have more time to spend with your loved ones during the reception. More and more couples are choosing to do a first look!

Silhouette of bride and groom in front of a church

"Annie was the perfect photographer for our wedding in Quebec City. We absolutely loved having her be apart of our wedding day. She was calm, confident, bubbly, and just the right kind of energy you want around on your special day.

She guided us flawlessly through the streets of old Quebec to capture the most beautiful pictures. She also took so many candid pictures that are beautiful, her picture gallery really tells the story of our wedding day, without us having to pose for pictures all day.

The pictures she takes are so timeless and elegant, we know they will be precious memories we keep for life."

- Marie-Eve and Peter, bride and groom from the Espace Saint-Grégoire. planning by Chic et Champagne.

The CEREMONY

Whether religious or secular, the ceremony is undoubtedly the most symbolic moment of the day. Filled with tenderness and love, it is sure to touch everyone’s hearts. Why not ask your guests to put away their phones, tablets, and cameras so they can fully enjoy this magical moment?

A custom timeline

Here is an example of a standard schedule for a 10-hour coverage package. We create a customized schedule tailored to your needs for every wedding. We meet with you about a month before the big day to ensure that there is time for every moment, including time to relax and fully enjoy the day.

Groom getting ready

The groom, accompanied by his closest friends, puts the finishing touches on his outfit. We take this opportunity to have a drink and get into the festive spirit. 30 to 45 minutes.

Bride Getting ready

The bride is accompanied by her bridal party and close family. Photos of the details (dress, shoes, jewelry, flowers, etc.). The bride puts on her dress and meets her father, who sees her in it for the first time. Be sure to have some tissues on hand. 1 to 1.5 hours.

First Look

First look with the bride and groom in an intimate setting. The photo session continues, and then the wedding party joins us for the final part of this segment. We can also take family photos. 30 minutes before the ceremony, the bride steps away to maintain the element of surprise for the arriving guests. The groom will greet the guests. 30 minutes to 1 hour and 30 minutes.

Ceremony

A highlight of the day, filled with emotion and love. If you’d like to pause in the aisle as you exit as newlyweds for a kiss, the effect is truly spectacular. This moment is immediately followed by a group photo, if desired. 30 to 60 minutes.

Cocktail

Candid photos of the guests enjoying the cocktail. Official family photos, if not taken earlier. The perfect time to capture the venue in all its beauty and document all the effort that went into personalizing the decor. 1.5 to 2 hours.

Reception

I’ll be there to capture all the big and small moments (even the hidden ones) of your wedding reception.

  • Entrance to the reception hall
  • Speeches
  • Night time photos under the stars*
  • Cutting the cake
  • First dance
  • Party!

Here, there, or anywhere

Whether my feet are in the sand or in the snow, everything looks magical to me.

Don’t hesitate to choose winter—the sun sets earlier, allowing you to use millions of candles to set the mood for your ceremony and reception.

If you’re thinking about a destination wedding (in Europe, the Carribeans, or anywhere in the world), I’ve been helping couples plan their destination weddings for several years.

WHAT IS A ENGAGEMENT/PRE-WEDDING PHOTO SHOOT?

This photo shoot takes place well before the Big Day—a few weeks or even a few months before the wedding. It’s shot in natural light at a location of your choice. I always suggest a place that resonates with you as a couple. The place where you first met, where you like to spend time together, or simply a location you find aesthetically appealing.

IS THIS SESSION MANDATORY?

It isn’t mandatory, but it is highly recommended. It allows us to build a connection so we’re no longer strangers on your wedding day. It allows me to see what brings you together, what makes you laugh, how he looks at you, and how you blush at his compliments. This session is also included as a gift in my packages. Opting out of it does not provide any credit toward the package. It is valued at $650.

WHAT SHOULD YOU WEAR FOR THIS SESSION?

Definitely clothes that make you feel beautiful and comfortable. Go for a “date night out for a nice meal” look.

WHAT TO DO WITH THE PHOTOS?

My couples use these photos for invitations, venue decorations, a wedding guestbook, or simply to decorate the walls of their home.

A weekend of festivities!

All those moments with the people you love

Planning a weekend of celebrations is super trendy.

Capture the welcome party or the  rehearsal dinner in photos. Whether it’s a casual or more formal affair, this evening guarantees bursts of laughter and precious moments with your guests—some of whom you’ll be meeting for the first time and who may have traveled hours by car or plane just to see you.

The day after the wedding, there’s nothing better than welcoming your guests, mimosa in hand, for a wedding brunch. I’ll be there to capture the delighted expressions on your guests’ faces as they listen to the delightful anecdotes from the night before...

Add one or two options to your package so you don’t miss a thing!

Bride and groom under the rain near the Gate Saint-Louis
"Photography was an important investment for our wedding, and we couldn’t be happier that we chose Annie. From our snowy engagement shoot to our rainy wedding day, she captured everything beautifully. Her eye for framing and finding moments gave us many candid photos that perfectly tell the story of our wedding day.
She also knew Quebec well, and made sure we had photos highlighting the city in different spots.
Annie was easy to work with - she was warm, friendly, and professional (photos came within a few weeks!), which made the experience even better. Even though I was worried about rain on our wedding day, Annie reassured me and turned the photos into magic. Our rain photo is the one everyone is still talking about. We’re so grateful that we had Annie as our photographer!"
